Plan on using Zalman 7000 on an AMD 64 4000.......

Anybody using one..... Or any alternatives.... Would like some quiet after current sys.....

I would not bother, i used one on a p4 3.2, yes it was quiet but it was not much cooler than standard heatsink.
For an AMD A64 try the arctic cooling Freezer 64 .
Knocked at least 10c off my loaded temps A64 3500 newcastle even when using 1.7 volts.
And its near silent, psu fan is louder than the freezer 64.
Its also cheaper than the Zalman.

Hell Yeah!

I had an AthlonXP 2600+ running with a CNPS7000B-AlCu. I was able to turn it down to about 1400rpm (which is completely inaudible over hard drive noise), and the temp was always in a very good range. If you plan on overclocking, there may be better. However, if you want a quiet, efficient solution, this is the way to go. I got mine to decrease the noise level in my system. That coupled with the Zalman passive chipset cooler made my system so quiet that I kept checking to see if it was on when I was in the room but not on the PC. As a matter of fact, they both went on my new Athlon 64 3500+.

I use a 7000 on my 3500, well happy with it.
