Author Topic: Can't run AH since patch (Read 209 times)

Hi all

I've patched my installation of 2.01.06 6 to 2.02 then 2.02.01 using the manual installation, have installed the hi res art and the skins package but now AH2 won't run. I get the video mode selection screen and then click ok, then it looks like it's loading but I get a windows error/illegal operation message. It did the same at 2.02 so I went looking for a new patch (the small 1.36mb one) and used it. Should I uninstall and start again?

Did you try it with the lower res textures?

Do you have any custom sounds or gunsites installed? Apparently, there is something in one of those sections causing a problem.

Also, what video card and drivers are you using?

Yes I have custom sounds loaded. Video card is a 128mb Asus nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4200.

Should I delete the sounds and see if it works or uninstall and reinstall from scratch ?
