Loss of Vox and Roger Wilco
« on: February 04, 2005, 10:27:44 PM »
HT,

I don't know if this will help you or not but for approx. the last 6 mo. before I log onto Aces High I use Roger Wilco's (RW) "Test Mike". I found that by using this approach I could confirm that as I entered AH2 my vox would be working.

Anytime my vox goes out while I am in the game I Alt-Tab to the desktop (where I have RW already launched) and I use the "Test Mike" to re-establish vox. The Alt-tab out and then back into AH never worked for me although I have heard that it has worked from some.  There has been the odd time that RW did not work and I would have to close AH down and re-enter AH in order to recover my vox but for the most part it has worked like a charm.

I have decided to post this because two nights ago my vox went out (game sounds were fine) and I attempted to use the new dot commands but they did not work.  However, going to RW and doing the "Test Mike" brought my vox right back up online.

Now I have no idea as to how RW is helpiing but I thought you should know.
