Bomb Aiming Drills

Hello All,
I'm new to the game therefore not up on what V 1.0 was.
I've been reading a lot of apparently "old" material regarding bomb aiming.
I've noticed different settings in the Main Arena at times, for example...sometimes it says autospeed is on and all I have to do is hold "y" 2 secs and other times it says that I must hold "y" and keep the x-hairs on a fixed point...?  Also there is no longer a line for Target Altitude in the Bombadier's data screen.  Is it still nessecary to pull up the clipboard and click on tgt icon?

Just the y for 2 secs... more is better
