I think it will come out eventually. The story of what your guys did may not be told by one of your guys personally, but it will be told. It's guranteed that more than one military historian is itching to write a book giving a detailed account of what went down in Afghanistan.

Also, your guys cannot handle Bacardi 151. A little 'Pink Label and Coke' and they are babbling like a Joan Rivers talk show. American girls go crazy over their arctic underwear however. Lucky Bastards. :)

LOL :D

You tried the undies?

Maybe the story will come out from somewere but never anything official. Stuff that happended in the 60's are still kept within the units.

You'll get to read about it in detail eventually. They were part of a U.S. 'led' (administratively) TF. All the after-action reports are on file with the U.S. DoD somewhere.

One of my best Friends is at a unit that 'cross-trains' with your HJK and MJK (i.e. they swap guys on a scheduled basis). I was at a party at his house with him, some of our guys, and a detatchment of your guys. All I will say in the open is that by the time the sun came up the next morning every girl at the party was addicted to the arctic underwear your guys had. Our guys were really annoyed because for the next 6 months every time the word was put out to the ladies that there was a party coming up they'd ask "Are the Norwegians going to be there?". :)

The story of that party will probably never be told. But the tactical and operational details of what the TF did will eventually come out. Just like today you can read accounts of the MACV-SOG guys that were still 'hush-hush' in the mid-to-late 1980s.
