So. why do people like the 250x250 maps again?

330 people on... people in 14 sectors.

Of that... 10 sectors had ~2 people apiece.

Whats the point of the super-huge maps again?

Maps will not change this, i have not searched but I am sure plenty similar threads before "pizza" days.

The guys you want to shoot down that dont want to fight but do a mission (i.e. any one playing the game as a game) will run as they can.  This comes up time and time again.  As the man said, if you cant fix the world, fix yourself.

I don't mean that meanly, honestly I dont care.  But I do find it funny as hell you expertn dont find the already provided arenas suitable. If you all truely beleived what you typed, there would be an arena full of you. There is not, and there is a reason for that.

AH allows you to fly anyway you want.  Unfortunately the "make everybody else" module is still in development.

I am not trying to sound smart, but so much of this is backing up and getting perspective.  This is a game, do whatever the hell you think is fun.

and that is all I got to say about  that

The HUGE maps were created in overly optimistic anticipation of a population boom that never materialized, now we are apparently stuck with them.

Large maps allow for small missions or individual action while small maps are nothing but large furballs.

Simple. The bish milkrunners have finally thier chance to milkrun in total peace. Nobody can or even wants to chase 2 tards fighting computer acks when they can abort the mission and move to another isolated field instead.

Wasn't pizza map created by a bish? I rest my case.

so that people can hide from each other and not be humiliated in actual fights.  It also rewards patience as a skill.... last one still awake gets the kill on the zoned out player.

in the old days where prime had 600 players big maps was ok.... well maybe only trinity, all other big maps take it to the extreme using way too much land space and not enough sea

i like the small maps now.... plus the zoning for strat targets works better on small maps
