I've never owned a gaming console in my life and never will.

You know, regular PS2 games cost $92 a piece down here.

Urchin,

I suppose your referring to understeer in int your Chevell.  So give it a bit more camber in the front like around 2.5 ish and around 1.2 in the rear. Give it a bit more rear sway bar 2 more settings up from what is listed and go one click down on the front.. Stiffen the rear shocks 2 settings up as well.

This should give the car more of a tighter rear end. I prefer a little oversteer as opposed to understeer.  Keep adjusting the swaybar and shocks till you get a little oversteer.  I hope that helps.

I like a tight rear end, good response and pleasant shocks on ladies.

Also Google for GT4 setups and see if somebody else has figured out a setup for that car.

Those Ginettas are neat cars.
My favorite of the last 24 hours is the Lotus Europa Special.  Perfect balance.

I also have that Charger just about maxed out now.  About 550 hp with handling and brakes to match.  I kept the stock exhaust though, good V8 sound.

I won a Chevelle too, and I'll try to come up with a good setup for Urchin.

Got my copy yesterday. Got the Nike 2022 concept, a few other crap concepts I can't sell, 4 Nismo R400s, a 320hp MR2, & a Nur-spec Skyline. It's a good game, but not up to the hype. No damage models, the regular ps2 controllers are inferior to xbox controllers for racing (need a seperate analog for the brake), there's no damage models (iirc because the manufacturers refuse to see their cars take damage), and the tuner selection is crap. Why even have the different tuners if there's no difference in the quality/price of the upgrades?

Worth the $50... but just barely.

I *like* the Nismo 400R... it has 395 HP stock, and it handles fantastic.  I might pimp that sucker out and use it for the harder races.

There's no physical damage because it would have taken two or more discs to get all the textures and physics into the game. That and the PS2 cannot handle much more physics processing.

The PS2 controller isn't meant to be used for this game. Find the wheel and use it. It makes it much better. I refuse to belive anything on the Xbox is xuperior to any console, period. ;)

There are differences in the upgrades, as some of the manufacturer upgrades cost less or produce more of an effect than the dealer upgrades.

I was curious about that, hadn't noticed any difference in the couple cars I compared.

What kind of 1/4-mile times could a 900 HP car expect?

I won a Camaro race car that I dropped a Turbo into, pushing it up to 900 HP, but I can't seem to break 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

I think the best I've ever gotten was 10.0010.

Plus, turn the damn nanny bot all the way off.  The nanny just won't let you use the throttle to steer the way you would in real life.  And it seems the nanny is much more nannicious than in GT3.  I dropped 4 sec in an S2k on Tsukuba just by turnning the nanny off.
