Crossbows with telescopic sights? I wonder which would be their effective range.

I used to be on target at about 75m some years ago ...

Range depend of your goal, for saturation it's up to 150 m for precision it's 75m and less.

I don't know much about crossbows, but a compound bow, because of the KE & will pretty easily pierce body armor iirc.

That's great!  They made a modern cho-ko-nu.  I wonder if they will come out with a multi-shot version.

Is that thing a more traditional type firearm as well?

Hi Straffo,

>Range depend of your goal, for saturation it's up to 150 m for precision it's 75m and less.

Did you notice that these are compound crossbows? Not that I'm an expert, but I'd imagine that they might have a higher initial velocity and accordingly a longer range.

(Then again, I don't know whether you shot a compound crossbow, too :-)

Regards,

Henning (HoHun)

The majority of modern crossbows shoot at 300 FPS or more.
Obviously there are crossbows that shoot at a lower FPS.

I owned one for a few years and they arent that quiet when you let fly with a bolt.       Although they are much more quiet than a rifle shot would be.

I used to play Age of Kings, too.
