Let me explain:
Most german jews moved to poland before the war.
They were allowed to serve, and served in Polish Armed forces in 1939, some with distinction.
Right after end of hostilities, they were rounded up in Gettos. Arms were laid down by all, poles and jews ( except for underground offcrouse ). They had no idea what was coming, nothing in the past told them it would happend. So when first 2 millions died, 4 may have had an idea, but they were starving in the gettos, with no access to arms. When they did, Warsaw Getto uprising started in 43 ( arms were delivered by Polish Underground ) but it was a short and local affair. Too few able bodied man, too few arms, too little training.
