I just reinstalled the game and cant get a gunsight to come up on a few aircraft types. The Yaks, the wildcats, ect. But they do show up on the tiffy, spits, ect.

Anyone encounter this before?

I just updated to DX9c and grabbed the latest drivers for my GEForce video card.

Nvidia GEForce2 MX/MX400.

Why? Can this be the prob?

Its Hardware Vortex........... I uncheck it but it keeps comming back somehow..... frickin computers are becoming smarter than me:)

Hehe, I was going to suggest checking that. Your card dont support hardware T&L. Glad it worked out for you lol.
