FPS issues
« on: April 07, 2005, 06:38:49 PM »
lately on my new comp i topped my FPS and the lowest is usually gets is about 30, but starting last night, everytime i fire my guns for more than 2 seconds my fps will drop below 10, i've made no major changes to any settings and i have no idea what could be causing this

at first i thought it was just my connection but when i tried it offline the same thing happened, also i went to preferences and turn tracers off and i get the same results,

and i just downloaded my lastest vid card drivers, i have a express chipset thats been on my comp for about 3 months and i've never had this problem, anyone have any idea???

Could be lots of things.  Send Skuzzy your Direct X diagnostic report and let him figure it out for you.  Not enough info there to tell what the cause is.

You may need to reduce sound acceleration one notch in DxDiag. You'll find it in Programs>DirectX>Setup folder.
