Hunter Killers Frame 1 Results
« on: April 30, 2005, 12:54:49 AM »
Gents the following took place on April 29th for the Friday night Squad Operations with about 210 pilots attending.

Allied pilots shot down and destroyed:
3 – Me262’s (2 were actually lost to friendly fire) – 60 points
39 – Fw190D – 390 points
7 – Me109G10 – 70 points
1 – Ta152 – 10 points
Convoy destroyed – 21 points
Ammo factory 90% down – 180 points
Radar factory 100% down – 200 points
 Total Allied Points 931 points

Axis pilots shot down and defended:
19 – Spit IVX – 190 points
10 – Tempests – 100 points
17 – P51 – 170 points
12 – P38 – 120 points
6 – P47 (2 were lost to friendly fire) - 60 points
7 – A20 – 105 points
Ammo factory 10% up – 20 points
Total Axis Points 765 points

Allies were certainly successful at destroying their strat and ground targets but with a loss of about 70 aircraft, while the Axis only lost about 50 aircraft. Had the Axis been able to keep their losses down a bit more it would have been a draw. I would give this first frame a slight Allied victory.

Ace Fighter Pilots
McCord – 6 kills
DmdGordo – 5 kills
Stang – 5 kills

Top Bomber/Jabo Pilots
Rooster – 23 objects
Seaghost – 23 objects
RHINO – 20 objects
Thorr – 14 objects
Jish65 – 13 objects
M36 – 12 objects
DaPup – 10 objects
Dace – 10 objects

Frame 2 orders will go out Saturday. :) Hope you all had a good time.

Question how can you make the 262's 20 pts each when you have a single seater with 2 engines should be 15 pts right ? like the 38's ?

The write up mentions the focus of the new unit was to neutralize the German Jet. Even if that was not mentioned IMHO the Me-262 is worth more than the P-38, quite a bit more. If it was not a dominating aircraft I would not have limited them to 15 to the Axis side. I think the Me-262 is worth every bit of 20 even in this late war setup.

After looking again what I did not do was score the P-38 as 15 points (twin engine AC) because I forgot to. That would have given the Axis another 60 points or so, which would have brought them over 800 points. Darn near a draw. :) On the flip side I am not too concerned about it because many could argue the value of the Tempest over the P-38, but I scored them as equal.  However bowing to the competitive spirits we have in here I will grant the extra 60 points and score the twin engine 38 as 15 points each. ;)

Well if we are going to bow the competitive spirit. The two friendly fire incidents for the allies happened right at frame launch.

Not sure of the specifics but seemed that a couple of allied pilots mistook two P47Ds as you daddog and open fire. ;)

Realistically for the first 15 minutes of the frame we allow people to reup do to crashes, ditches, friendly fire, etc. as long as they take no enemy damage.

So I would submit that the two P47Ds should not give the LW an extra 20 points.

On the LW side there 2 Me262s that died from friendly fire .. died late frame.

Nope wasn't you SCDR.

We have DOWfog and DOWbuzrd being awarded to DOWjambu at 0:21 (last two kills recorded by the LW).

AKBUBBIs (allied) got the kill credit for thor75.

As for discoing .. happened to me also. Lost my first life in an A20 that way. Heading toward target and then poof. So gunned another A20 when got back. And then when we were all killed came up with second life in the fighter we chose to make our NOE run on the FLAK factory.

Must be a bug in the logs!  Someone with an AK tag actually shooting something down?  It didn't happen!  :p

The parsing code needs to be examined in a BIG way!  ;)

The two 262 accidental friendly kills (ooops) were after we had already landed and were stopped on the runway.  I was filming the last two DOW landing - moved the hat to look around and press trigger by mistake  - promptly executing two squaddies who were parked right in front of me.  Darn - if only I would have waited for the other two to land I could have been an ace with 5 kills  :lol
