What was the caption under? A picture of a pretzel?

second, not one person who has posted in this thread cares about threats on our president even if the original intention was in jest. it is not something you "joke" about.

that';s the double standard i'm making. if i were to in my mind jokingly threaten someone here ala mr. black i would be ostracized.

basically the impression i get from you all is it should be fine to say or print whatever threatening / damaging thing i can about the president, as long as i come out later and say "it was all a joke"

it sickens me to think what children are being taught today, if this community is any representation of society in part or whole.

You've got to be kidding me.  All this righteous indignation from the guy who almost got fired for joking about putting a bomb in the children's hospital restroom?

Wait a sec. did he write that about himself or was that somebody making the statement about him?

Yes I think it makes a difference.

Either way I think its blown out of proportion

The 1st amendment is toast. Before long they will be censoring Leno and Letterman. It's just easier to indoctrinate the kids to the process.

Same thing happened to a high school in California where kids made a poster for their student play. It was a comedy about American history and the poster had a picture of President Bush as Groucho Marx. The school made them tear down the posters.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Yeah, doped out hippies are never dangerous.

I was voted "most likely to be found naked in a clock tower with a high powered rifle". Doesn't mean I ever actually DID it. Well, unless you count that one time....

As far as investigating EVERY threat against the president, the Secret Service would keep pretty busy here in Canada. Anti-Bush sentiment is growing quite rapidly.

Be careful kids!  JB73 will cut your right arm off if you try to kill the chancellor.

Great justification for restricting rights, eh?

Somebody needs to tell these kids about the Patriot Act- we don't critisize or dissent anymore, otherwise you're unpatriotic.
