I disagree. Been to New Orleans, Had a great time, met lots of wonderful people. Thats not a fact. Its no more dangerous than any other place.

My own experience leads me to believe that it wouldn't be a difficult task to refute: "Its no more dangerous than any other place" with stats. I would have a hard time imagining that I couldn't. Worth my time? No, I'll leave it to you if you're so inclined.

But in this one news story the situation is different Guns. New Orleans is predominately Black. It is a dangerous place to go for tourists and definitely not the place to get in trouble, which is easy to do.


Dangerous for tourists. That is a vague and obscure statement. Proving it well your the one who contradicted my statement about it being safe. I have been there, have you?

Sheet yeah I've ben there. Lots.

We had to find a new bass player there 'cause the one we had quit after crumbling after getting car-jacked (funny story, actually). But that's besides the point. Yes, I have been there. No, it isn't the same as everywhere else.

I do love it there. It is great, without question. As safe? hardly.

I am of Pima heritage myself, and although because we were here first, doesn't mean we were not from immigrant stock.  We just got here 10,000 years before the europeans.

Have to agree with Nash on this one.  Not a place to go bar hoppin if you are new.  Hear its gotten better, but the cops can be more dangerous than the crooks.  And that's sayin something.  Tough town.

mt thinks fairness and equality mean completely different things when applied to people.  

I tend to think that they need to mean about the same if we are to ever reach any kind of solution to the kind of biggotry that causes riots and hate.

Mt wants a form of forced fairness that is in itself unfair ie... treat some races differently than others in order to get a desired outcome.  

To have a black pride day and have to pretend (yes... whites are pretending) to think it is a good thing but to go into fake shock over a white pride day..  to have black only tax supported events...  These are the things that foster the racism that continues.

I find that the more of this I see the less I want to even be around any blacks.   This seems to be the predominant attitude of the whites I meet who,  are more critical of blacks and more likely to use the n word now than 10 years ago..

so laugh all you want mt... you are doing more for the cause of the KKK than those buffoons could ever do on their own.
