I'd still rather be here..

Hangtime you need to go to France more rather than form your opinions from newspapers and popular opinion.

Nah. Been there. Sucked. Prefer to be insulted in my native language.

Oh dear. Maybe you didn't make the effort to try and use their language? It makes a difference you know.

A closed mind if ever I saw one.

Look, don't wanna start a flame fest.. it's pointless. But I'll tell yah this, I traveled extensively in western europe, great experiences with folks from Germany, Denmark, England, Scotland, Ireland, Luxemourg, Belgium, Holland and Italy.

In France, it sucked. Amerihaters. Yah see, that's how France GOT it's rotten reputation with regards to Americans.. your Parisian countrymens arrogant, haughty and uncivilized treatment of American Tourists. It's not just 'me'.. it's many THOUSANDS of 'me'.. we come home, we say, "The french are arrogant *******es; don't spend yer money there; they'll rob you, spit in your food, give you the lousiest flea bag rooms, abuse you in french to their friends right in front of you... vist Luxembourg or Holland instead. Nice folks there, glad to have us as guests."

Of course, there are other political consdierations that have since hardened my personal opinion of france as a Nation.. allow me to say, not much of redeeming nature comes out on that end either.

Closed minds? Not really. Just payback, that's all.
