It was a joke frank. the f8 isn't all that common in the MA, and I only see it vulching or attacking gvs/sheds. I haven't seen one land a sortie in weeks.

On the bright side, I hooked at least two. A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. :p

190F8 is one of my favorite planes. Handles similar to a 190A5. Not too quick, but pretty nimble. It's always nice to land some kills of one of those beasts.

I really enjoy the A8 for attacking ground targetes. Land some 30mm on a flak or an M16, and poof, no more turret, or vehicle!

Besides the graphics, did HTC converted 190s FM-ing to AH2 standards?

Most planes that are not changed still handles like AH1s but the new planes and updated planes handle differently

Nothing currently in the game NOW handles like it ever did in AH1 THEN.

Trust me on this. It took us all some time to cope/deal with the changes. Essentially the entire way that the code computed how forces acted on the planes changed, and changed overnight (for those not in beta testing).

Night and day my friend.

Hell after AH2 I still had AH1 (wanted all the screenshots, the internal film viewer, etc, so I kept it for a while before deleting it). So I go back in and up a 109E on the nice sweet BOB map (with the cliffs of Dover in it). And MY GOD that 109E was a total pig. I'm glad that the 109E (and all 109s, for that matter) got a boost in roll. Now they can actually compete in turns at all. But sometimes I think the Emil got too much of an advantage. If anybody has AH1 still, check it out offline. It's like you're compressed at all speeds (Lol).

So to answer the question again: No plane in AH2 is at all like it was in AH1. Totally different.

The standard they're converting to NOW is about graphics and new details (drag, fine tuning, balance, angle of attack, etc)

Like Krusty said, all planes handles differently.

The 190's are no exception, IMO I like them quite a bit better now then in AH1.

The individual FMs that were not updated changed with the AH2 FM rework.

Ahhh.. but he didn't mention whether or not other stuff might be changed, which "in effect", might ultimately determine how the plane feels or handles in terms of flight.

Remember HT and Pyro used to comment that the gunnery hasn't changed at all in AH2, despite the obvious differences people were noticing. It wasn't until later that Pyro commented the "hit detection" was changed. Technically, the ballistics and stuff might not have changed, but in effect, something did change in the gunnery. :)

I swear something was changed for the better for the 109s and the 190s. For the 109s, that godawful destabilization near stalls went away. For the 190s, low speed handling is a bit smoother, and the plane can go vertical safely without fear of losing control.
