Hitech is the only game provider I know of where they provide forums for anything other than support and feature requests for their product.

Take all the other Flight Sim/ Combat simms out there.  They leave it to the "Clans/Squads" ie players to create their own communities.  If hitech is committed to providing this service as a benefit to their subscribers they can expect to spend a fair amount of resources to policing it.

Just IMHO...  Frankly I wish they would dedicate their time towards enhancing the product and not having to deal with protecting their company by keeping forums policed.

I think it goes back to the AW days. The AW community had a very active message board. That was probably because it was too expensive to play in the day ($12 an hour) so people would hit the Geni boards. But there were only about 60 players so it was lot easier to self police the community. Its a lot harder to act like a jerk if there's only 5 people in a room than say 600 people in a room. I don't think its possible to hope for an AW community when there are thousands of accounts.

Anyway, thats why I think HTC tried to keep a cummunity type board- tradition?

Grim what would the game be like now if HTC were tuned out to the issues that arise affecting gameplay?  Would the chog be the most popular plane?  Would your favorite map get overrun in 4 hours so players could steamroll to the next map on the list?  Would people be shooting their own hangers to pad their hit percentages?  Would a map that has architecture for poor gameplay just sit in rotation unimproved forever?  Would you log in every night expecting to see 3:1:1 odds between the countries without fail?  Quite the opposite, the game is better because they know the issues that come up, and have a pretty good read on how disruptive or insignificant they are.

LOL why would he be bashing Grm?

Grm's saying that HT is better off for shutting down the O'c. I think they'd just be better off banning anyone who continues to cry about not having it. Problem(s) solved.

Posting here isnt your right. Its a privilege.

I took a peek at all of them.  WB's is based on a IP that is owned by a hosting company.  I can not tell if the IP is operated by WB.

WWIIOL looks to be completely unmoderated. (Just a quick glance could be wrong.)

Don't even know what the last one is.

I don't think games such as MOHAA, COD, BF1942 have em.
