You never know whats inside a MS Sidewinder

Signatures! Yup - there's about 20 signatures engraved on the inside of the bottom plate(e.g., Fred Mc, Edie Adam, Jeff Davis, Woody..).

I took the thing apart a few weeks ago to try to make a throttle. I found a better stick for a throttle, but someone noticed all the names on the plate today. I completely missed it (old eyes).

Thats an odd thing to have signatures on the inside of a joystick.
I always knew there were gremlins inside my stick. I never dreamed they left their names :)

They did that alot with old boards and such.. not sure if they do that anymore?  Most of them you need an aided device to see them clearly.

Im getting ready to open one up. Do I remove the 3 screws on the bottom to gain access to the power connection? Or are there screws hidden under the rubber sticky dots on the perimeter of the base?

Screws are hidden under the rubber pads - well all except 1.
Its not the easiest stick to work on.

Did anyone know that sidewinders (At least the one I have) actually fly?  I got about 30ft out of mine the other night.
