Boys are much easier to raise than girls (1 boy 2 girls). Generally you can explain rules and consequences to boys and while they don't always obey the rules they understand the reason why they are punished and that it was their choice that put them in the situations.
 Girls can't seem to make a connection between their actions and the consequences that come from them.

btw not just from experiance with my kids but also the hundreds of kids i've been around (freinds of my kids and little league)

I'll break it down and make it simple.

With boys, you only have to worry about his noodle.

With girls, you have to worry about everyone else's.
