I looked in the news section on the Home page, but could not find the link to the pictures.  Can anyone help me find the new 109K pictures?

http://www.hitechcreations.com has them on the front page. :p

Panzzer,

The Bf109G-10 in AH is a Bf109K-4 with the 20mm cannon option.  For it to be perked they'd have to raise the boost setting to 1.98ata, and even then I am not sure.

My point, exactly. Perhaps I should have stated more clearly that I meant the G-10 we have now and the K-4 we will get... But I doubt we'll see 1.98 ata or a perked 109. Was just curious what people thought of it. :)

I think you guys did a great job on the model, just wish the ammo counters were up higher so you don't have to look down to see them in a fight.

The aircobra is on the 80 ENY waiting list along with the Brewster  :D

Nice job on the K skin Messy!

Would be nice (imho) to get a few more Japanese fighters such as the Ki100...radial engined Ki.....the "Tojo" and the "Jack".

We're a few short on Japanese fighters.  Ki-46-II would be nice twin engined addition also.

According to my book here, the g series 109's had a maximum HP of 1800hp with MW50 boost.  The K series had 2000hp with MW50 boost.  G series had top speeds of 428mph.  The K series had top speed of 452mph.  G series max climb rate was 4kft/min while the k series 4823ft/min climb rate.  My point here is how is the G10 be the same as K4.  BTW, the the specs on the K series I gave are the K4's.  If anything the g14 maybe the closest match but certainly not the G10.  The K4 also had a ceiling of 41000 feet while the best G series had 38000 feet ceiling.

Armament for the K4 was 2 MG151 above engine and 1 MK108 or 103.  It also had options for 2 210mm rocket tubes under wings or various bomb loads.

With these specs on the K4, it just might have to be perked especially with the speed and climb rate it has.  Its faster then a tempest and out climbs every plane in the game besides the jet and rocket plane.

Dogg,

Your book over simplifies it.

There was a range of G-10 performance depending on the engine installed.  Some had the same engine as the Bf109K-4 and so had very like performance.

Pyro took that and originally decided to do a Bf109G-10 so that the top end Bf109 would have the option for either a 20mm or 30mm nose gun, rather than just the 30mm option as on the K-4.  So basically he did a flight model for a Bf109K-4, gave it the gun option for the 20mm nose gun and called it a top end G-10.  It was to give the players more options basically.

If you test the Bf109G-10 in AH right now you will find that it tops out at 451mph at 22,000ft.

So basically u saying he put a k4 engine in a g-10.  The most HP out of the g's was 1800hp.  K4's had 2000hp.

Here is a good Site on 109's.  According to this website, the K4 was based off the g10.

Stuff was a lot messier than that in Germany late in WWII.  Bf109G-10s did not all use the same engine.  Some used the same engine as the Bf109K-4 and performed very much like Bf109K-4s even though they were Bf109G-10s.

Keep in mind that all the Bf109K-4 was, was an attempt to standardize Bf109G production by consolidating all the improvements that were being produced in different Bf109Gs at different factories.  It was creating a maintainance nightmare.  It was not a major redesign of the Bf109, but rather a standardization of the late war Bf109 production.
