Do you want manual pitch control modelled when not automated control in real plane implemented?

Now Prop pitch control is automatic on all the costant speed propeller-fitted planes.

If non constant speed propeller is fitted, sure, yes.

Yes, but every airplane in AH had a constant speed prop in real life, so don't get your hopes up.

No.  Constant speed props were present on almost all aircraft that will be modeled.  Even the Spitfire MkIa, Bf109E and A6M2 had constant speed propellors.

When the realism guys start asking for things to deal with that the real pilots didn't have to deal with they've gone to far.  This isn't a requset for realism, its a request for difficulty.

Since a manual prop pitch change requires a at least one mechanic, a blade angle measuring device and a torque wrench with the airplane firmly on the ground, I don't think it would be much use to a pilot in AH.  We already have a constant speed prop that indirectly changes angles with a pilot controllable RPM control.  If the oil or electrical prop control is lost, the blades automatically revert to low pitch/high RPM in a single engined fighter.

Pep, are you asking for an adjustable pitch setting for all of the fixed pitch prop driven airplanes in AH?

Early Spitfire and Hurricanes used props with only two speed settings; Takeoff or cruise. All Bf-109 models had a manually adjusted prop pitch control. I'm not sure about any others we've got that had manual prop pitch control.

I want to be able to control prop pitch when available historically.  It's not too bad the way it's modeled now though.  The main change I'd like to see is that prop pitch/speed be mappable to one of the extra throttle controls on my CH USB yoke.  Prop control is good because it lets you maximize engine and fuel efficiency for whatever phase of flight you may be in.
And now... (HIJACK!) give me mixture for my third lever!!!  Yes I KNOW there is an auto-rich setting on many planes.. but you can still model the throw of the lever.
