Flat Screen Suggestion
« on: September 30, 2005, 11:45:46 AM »
Folks,

After a long break, I have found a high speed internet supplier and am ready to fly again. I was thinking of upgrading my display and am considering buying a LCD display. As technology changes so quickly which display do you all recommend today?

I wanted to buy a 19" or greater display.

What exactly do you look for when buying a flat screen display for Aces High?

Thanks a lot

Best Regards

Acetnt

I still stand behind my LCD, Dell FP2001. Ive had it for a year & a half, has a great picture, high resolution, & best of all you can hook up 4 different sources, even television sources. when im not on my comp, i use it for watichin my directtv, the S-video looks great. I got it for $800 new, but im sure its cheaper by now. Pound for pound a great deal.

Just purchased 2 of these. 1 for my wifes puter and one for mine. They are really nice and a very good price after rebate from Samsung.

Picture is very clear. I like them alot.

Give a search for the Hyundai L90D+  Paid mid $300's for mine. Has great contrast 700:1 and 8 ms refresh. Arrived with 1 dead pixel.

Thanks for the replies. I see that 2ms monitors from Viewsonic and Benq are available soon. Maybe this response time is overkill - but decided to wait anyway till christmas so the wife can buy me an LCD monitor for a present so I can keep my money for beers.

Dug up this post I made a while aback. Did not buy the monitor then but finally broke down and ordered a samsung 204B 20.1" LCD display. They say a 5ms response - grey to grey or black to black I don't know. Here's the question - anybody using this monitor? Its already being shipped but I still wanted to hear if people like it or not.

as a side note, I have switched back to my old 19" sony CRT as the LCD Samsung  blurred when I was in close fights or viewed the ground at close range.

I recently bought a 19" LCD and couldnt be happier.  I found a great deal here:

http://www.buy.com/prod/Q9B_2/q/loc/215/202593724.html <- got it for $180 on sale

and recently saw an event better deal here:

Good luck!
