IE is great................if you want to tone it down to near nonuseable, then go through all the hassle everytime you wish to do something new.
I`m lazy. Started using Firefox quite some time ago and have never looked back.

What's your problem with Firefox, Skuzzy?  Just because it's different from IE, or is there something actually wrong with it from a programming standpoint?

I love it, and I can count on one finger the number of times I've used IE to view a webpage because it wouldn't work right with Firefox.

Oh yeah, I am going to listen to some numpty reporter hollering, "HEY!  How do I get it out of INSERT mode?"

I rarely have any issues viewing pages with Firefox (can't remember any in recent history), but did have a few when I first started using it.  Seemed to have more to do with the page in question being written for IE, rather than being written based on HTML standards.

I've never had any problem with my site working with Firefox, other than some differences in spacing and/or alignment as compared to IE.

What am I missing?

I have lots of stuff that craps out if its not in IE. But its mainly security appliances (firewalls, ssl boxes, spam boxes) and their management consoles. I was considering going to Firefox but in the end stuck with IE. Between IE's finally getting popup blocking and my firewalls AV/AntiSpyware I'm happy now.

Thats just a few. Of course an Apple user will say theres no trojans, or spyware, but theres at least a couple of keyloggers, root kits etc out there, and no real way of detecting or removing them.

Yeahhhhh uh huh.

Honestly, they're not bad boxes. My pet beef with them is their overzealous uneducated users. The majority of them have this stupid idea that they don't need any AV, or AntiSpyware, that the built in firewall will save them from anything short of a full alien invasion.

We had one Mac laptop in the office last week that was generating DoS attacks and attempting to run what looked like a spam attack against a range of servers. The Mac users respons - no idea and just keep on using it.

Debonairs "Safari" is a typical Mac user response, I have safari, mac's are immune, I'm safe hahaha look at the silly PC users and their AV/Antispyware.

The day someone gets bored and writes a really bad worm for the Mac is the day Apple shares go through the floor. Because they just don't have to tools to deal with it.

Debonair only answerd that he used Safari. That is a typical Mac user responce I must admit :D but he never said mac's are immune or safe. I havent either for that matter.

I think you read a littttttlebit too much into his very short "safari" answer. :)

OSX is not too much more than fancied up BSD, quite likely vulnerable to even not so "leet haxors", but I'm happy to have a trouble free 'nix machine.  In a previous career I was root on a modest network of sparc stations, if I was paranoid about security on my personal use laptop, I'd do something about it.  Instead I've learned how to stop worrying & love the internet.
