I like him already, news pics showed him getting out of his Jet Black 330Ci....Mmmm. :)

So, anyone remember the discussion along time ago about what the president does, reflects on society as a whole?  ;)

I guess what amuses me about this, is that Foxnews and others have kept the heat on this guy from day 1.  I don't care what political party you favor, dislike or what have you.  But if you've got a zillion press reporters on you, and can "smell" you aren't being completely forthright, then tell the damn truth!

This Condit twit has been a lesson is "Stepping on Landmines 101".  One day its "I didn't" the next is "I sorta might've" and then its finally "Yea, I did.".  Look, he may not have killed this young lady, but from his lack of honesty sure doesn't help him!

You politician haters can claim this has no bearing on his ability to lead but come on!  If he can't come clean about something like this, how can anyone beleive a word he says in the future?  We know he'll dodge as long as he can, and buckle under pressure only after being dogged into it.

If this guy gets re-elected, I'll be impressed.  Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

Yeah, negatively impressed.  ;)
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Yeah, but after his second term of taking DC into a nose-dive we finally got a better mayor. She re-worked the city as best she could, but it's still a craphole.

I think it's more or less: Don't underestimate the power of idiots in large groups that know how to vote.

You are a bit misinformed here. R Juliani is  a very competent mayor.
His affair only came up in the last few months and he was pretty open about it too. There was never an issue of him cheating on his wife and as for the public, he did not have to announce that to us.
He is a very popular republican mayor in the most democratic city in the country. He would have beaten Hillary by landslade if he did not drop out of the senate race because of the prostate cancer. That aught to tell you something about his worth.

The issue with the mansion was that the wife wanted to deny the mistress access to the mansion. On one hand it is her residence, where she should have a say who is welcome. On another hand, he states that the mansion is a city property and his residence too and as a resident and a mayor, he can invite whoever he wants... I would stay out of such issue and let them settle it.

You're right, Ripsnort.  And I'll bet everyone of us have lied about something important at some point in our lives, haven't we?  Come on, be honest, if you can.

Doesn't make what this politician did right, but it certainly doesn't give us the right to point our fingers and act so f**king righteous and holy.!

IMHO  ;)

There *used* to be a sense of dignity in politics, where if once discovered, a politician would come right out and say "I was wrong..."...that's changed.  Bill changed it even more than Nixon...its a trend within our society, "Lie first, then if they find out, tell them you're a victim".  Politics of the late 20th and early 21st century.

Seems to be a trend more for the dumocrats than the republicans, to lie and moan about their immoral behavior..
How many Republicans did the right thing when ole larry flynn threatened to expose their flings and stepped down? Funny, well really not so funny, how the same tactic would not work with the average dumocrat....

Yep, Rip the standard has been lowered and getting lower at every turn. Pretty soon, not having a mistress and lying about it, being faithful to your spouse and family will be viewed as downright strange, abnormally conservative and wacked...

I use this simple criteria:

If a politician says it don't believe it, he'll probably just retract it or spin it a different way tommorow to suit his personal agenda or his political partys desires. They're all scum.

Pardon me for interrupting the political party bashing, but I think you all are missing the point.

This is the point --->

The point is not whether Condit lied about an affair with an intern, whether he owed the media and his constituents the truth, if he's a good lawmaker or anything else.  And it has absolutely nothing to do with which party he's in.

The point is a young girl is missing.  And he was the last person to see her.  True, he has a right to his privacy, but by withholding information which might be important to the investigation he is not only perhaps putting her life in danger, he looks like he has something to hide.  Would any of you actually say that the fact an affair was taking place is not important to the search?  Do any of you honestly feel that this fact isn't important?  If the answer is no then he owes the police at least a straight answer.

Right now I could give a rat's bellybutton about Condits sexual habits and voting record.  I'd like to know where the girl is.  So would her parents I bet.

And if this love muffin thinks that it's more important to play word games to protect his chances of being re-elected than finding her; he should be skinned alive.

I'm affraid that the likelihood of finding Chandra alive are nil.

And it bugs the heck out of me that the investigation seems to be paralized by the undue influences of the polititians.
