BTW...I just went to Alienware and priced basically what will be arriving at my door this next week , and Alien ware was 1500.00 more.

How come 2x512 meg ram instead of 2x1gig?

Going for A64 FX55 instead of 57 should save a few hundred bucks too.  If you're not going to overclock, consider a "San Diego" core non-FX A64 and save another couple hundred, maybe even enough to buy the bigger ram sticks.

Also, take a look at the 300 gig SATA hard drives.  Going from 250 gig to 300 gig should only cost an additional $20 at most.  I just got an ATA Maxtor 300 gig for about $130.
