Daily Mission Log
« on: October 23, 2005, 04:15:42 PM »
Ok.. something to kinda add a flavor of 'news' to the arena.

A daily log of missions, their construct, and launch times.

For instance

On Sept 23, 2005

06:50 APDrone launched mission  to < mission description here > consisting of
          3 x B24 ( formations ) from field n
          5 x P51D from fieldn  w/2x1k bombs on hardpoints and 8 x 5"rockets
          4 x P47N from fieldn  w/2x150Gal DT
07:15 Peiper launched mission   to ' capture A24 ' consisting of
          10 x BF110G2 from A23 w/2x500KG bombs and 4x 50KG bombs
          2x C47 from A21 w/10 troops

...etc.

Of course, there would have to be some delay time before this could be available offline, as you wouldn't want live updates to tip off the opponent.

Maybe wait til after the mission is concluded and show its results (damage inflicted and losses suffered)?
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

The details and such would be a nice touch, but I'm thinking that may get a little hard to manage if missions become popular and suddenly everbody is running big ones.

The other downfall is that some missions will be done badly, with bad consequences and folks may not want to be known as having been part of it.

Of course, the reverse could be true and folks may be proud of having been involved and want the attention.

Perhaps a 'waiver' flag indicating whether or not the individual pilot's performance may be reported.
