A frosty pint (or two) of Saranac Lake Black Forest in the ski lodge with a Pastrami/Swiss melt with Horseradish and Diced Pepperocini.

Now we are talking.

Hmmmm.. Beeeeeerrr
Lets see

bud
keystone
old milewake
miller.
Hehe, sorry that wasn't funny . Seriously here's my picks .

Paulaner Oktoberfest hefeweisen
Pilsner Urquel
Youngs Oatmeal Stout

Many Aussies and NZ'ers swear by Victorian Bitter, but I've never tried it. There is also a Chinese beer that is actually pretty good called Tsing Pao or something . And although I don't recommend it I have alot of fond memories being pissed drunk on Salva Vida, that and aguardiente, but I don't remember anything after drinking that .

ding ding ding! we have a winner!  and yes it is skernsk!!!  also to be noted: one time i had this 6 pack of molson canadian beer in my car and left my car running in the winter.  The beer was right by the heater and there it sat for like an hour.  So anyways... i went to drink it (no i wasnt driving) and it was almost the temperature of a hot coffee.  fediddle was it good!  Think everyone should try a hot beer once, yo umight be suprised.  Also fatty, this local brewpub made this blueberry wheat ale,,, i musta drank 100 gallons of that stuff last summer and cried when they stop making it.

There can be only one.  Guiness.

I like most quality beer, with the exception of the fruit toejam.  The rare one can be tasty, but 95% of the time they make me gag.

Now, Guiness is like a desert beer... a snack...a Beer Milkshake.  It's great by itself, but in certain situations you want a lighter beer.

Local microbrew has a nice red ale I like just called "Garrison Red".  Another local micro has "Black Pearl, which is a dark ale and is pretty good.  On a hot day in the summer on the sailboat, a cold Corona with a slice of lime hits the spot.  The Aussies have one up in Queensland called XXXX that I like too.. a lager, great in the heat.

But the best beer ever?  Guiness... no contest.

Best beer is going to the beach with my gf, sitting watching other chicks while nodding to her constant talking, I open my freezer, I dig with my hand till I can find the coldest, almost freezing CORONA EXTRA or HEINEKEN, and as it goes down my throat I can feel my whole body cooling down, my brain getting numb, and after a few more beers, I'll be either making out with my gf, or arguing about something stupid.

Or sitting in my balcony at night with my pals, watching the night, and talking about random things guys talk, and drinking our VERY cold.. beers.

Or at the disco, the music is kicking, I'm very horny, but thirsty, so I take a moment to go to the bar, buy two cold beers drink one in the bar, and the other as I walk back to my gf.

or as I am driving to work early in the morning, drinking my beer while speeding on the interstate because I'm late thanks to last nights beer party at a friends house.

Or as I do my preflight inspection on the Cessna, that cold beer sure makes flying by the Puerto Rican countryside fun, and the .04 alcohol (no more than that for flying!) really helps me appreciate how beautiful the Arecibo Radio-Telescopy is.

Or as I come back home drunk as hell, log on to AH, and see my pal Creamo put a few niki rounds on a chute, and hear Fatty and Skernks call my girlfriend a slut and some other things on Roger Wilco, I just sip my mug of beer to enjoy the moment.

Beer.
I love you.

Ps: My friends make fun of me because I like to drink my beer from a mug rather than from the can or bottle. It just tastes better to me, and you drink it faster = more beers.

Hey Animal

Check out AA

(and it's not anti-aircraft or American Airlines)

Here's a beer question;
Did you drink a beer or "shotgun" a beer first?

Me, couldn't stand the taste at such an "early" age so we shotguned them. You know, when you flip it over, hit it with a can opener, suck the bottom til the vac crushes the can, then pop the top and try to keep up.

Dowding, you get Abbot ale there? Think its a London brew. Had a case of it at the Pennsic Wars one hot dry August and after a day in plate armor, it was completely beautiful
Also like the Northern Brown at my local microbrew pub here in NC.
Good cheap beer up towards Pittsburgh was Yeungling (sp?)
Get alot of good Canadian beer at Pennsic also from my Quebecios camp mates.
