Audio glitch
« on: November 12, 2005, 05:01:10 PM »
Engine sounds are drowning out every other sound in the game. Firing the weapons in an aircraft can barely be heard over the engine. I haven't experienced this until 2.06; 2.05 and prior releases worked fine. Deleting the sounds.cfg file didn't do anything to fix it.

AMD XP3000+ (2.16GHz)
512MB RAM
Asus A7N8X-E Dlx
nForce 5.10 WHQL
Onboard audio (SoundStorm)
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
Audio accel set one tick back from full

Go into setup> preferences> game sounds on clipboard.  Engine is the first on the list.  Click on it and turn it down.  I keep mine turned way down so I can hear everything around me.

The engine slider is set to 20%, with everything else at 80. Prolly should've mentioned this in my first post.
