I want my old SpitV back.

I feel I t is unfair to take a plane I have flown for Three years and cut it in half.

The new Spits are nice but do not compare to the old MKV.

If we are going to revert my plane back to 1941......Then why dont we revert everyone elses back to the same date?????????????

I have to say Im happy about it. Im sure its lousy if that was your plane. But atleast now part of its setup is reduced by way of ammo load. Now if we can do something about the LA7, NiK, and the Typh we'll be golden.

The Old spitfire 5 (with +16 boost) was reverted back to 1941 specifications (+12 boost) because the old spitfire 5 from last version uses 1942 specifications...  In short,, previous spit 5 version was placed to mid-war plane category and now it is placed back to early-war category (and thats where it should be!)

By the way sooo many people lobbied for Suggested, complete Spitfire lineup for Aces High and here's how they brreak it down...

1940:
Spitfire Mk Ia

1941
Spitfire Mk Vb

1942
Spitfire Mk. IX

1943
Spitfire LF Mk. VIII

1944-1945
Spitfire F.Mk XIV
Spitfire LF.Mk XVI

now that's the complete spitfire lineup :)

LOL the Bf-109s were hit hard in this version, why?   Because...

109E-4
* REMOVED centre 250kg bomb option

109F-4
* REMOVED centre 250kg bomb option
* REMOVED wing mounted 20mm GONDOLAS option

109G-6
* REMOVED 30mm hub cannon option

109G-10
* REMOVED FROM ACES HIGH LINEUP

109K-4
* The old 109G-10 lives on as 109K-4 BUT 109K-4 does not have wing gondolas!

late ware model 109s such as the 109K-4 were hit hard...

SpitV is still a killer. Love it.

If you want a replacement of the old 5.... fly IIc or VIII.

Erm....
Spit XVI and XIV are 1944, dunno where you get 1945 from. RAF currently has no 1945 planes.
XIV is mid 1944, XVI is late 1944.
The suggested lineup had the XVI at 1945 only if it had 25lbs boost.

Schatzi - Dunno why, but the Seafire IIc is also at 12lbs, that SHOULD be 16.

You forgot that the front view was drasticaly reduced, and you can't look over the nose as much as you used to.

The darn things turn like lumber wagons now also.

I just gave up on them last night.  I think it will be the 190A8 for attacking bases (30mm gun option until HT takes it away), the Dora for when I need to stay alive, and the Spit16 for when I want to stay alive and get some kills.

The front view is horrid now, especially in the g6/14, but also in the K4.  Why when LW planes get redone the cockpit bars have to balloon is beyond me.  The Spit's bars are tiny, making the foreward very unobstructed.  Even the 109F isn't that bad, but how the bars basically double in width from the F to the G series is beyond me.  I seriously doubt there was that much difference in the two inreal life, besides the improved rear view.

imo 109 front view is better than 190s but what i dont like about 109 is the narrow view from the windshield.

109 is the smallest fighter in europe durring ww2

Good point, the 190s also had the bars balloon when they were reworked.  I flew the 190A8 until HT reworked it, so I started looking for a new plane, so I switched to the 109F4 and G6.  Now that he has "reworked" the 109s...

Hell I don't know...

I really have tried to fly something in here besides LA's and Spits...

Maybe I just have to give up, go to a Spit or a LA, and give it a rest.

The quest for a decent fighter that ain't a spit or lala is best left for those who are better pilots than I am.

Last night I boomed a LA7 in a G14 (with only the 30mm no gondies), and next thing we went round and round about 2 times, he had went vertical, reversed, and hit my engine for a oil leak.  Proably Shane, no one ever did that in the old G6, and I usually flew that with gondies.  I took it home, and landed it in disgust.

That was probably my last fight in a 109.

I think HT wants us all in Spits and LA LA's.

So be it

Not even close. :)

Compare it's size to a I-16 or I-15 for example.

the old spit5 might have been made a bit more real but you cant complain......from the plane everyone hated in ah1, to the plane with almost the most varients available cant be something spitheads dont like?
