Some 14 year old girl just crashed into my neighbors car, which in turn slammed into his towtruck.  The POS Mazda that she hit had no chance against the tank that is a towtruck.  First she gave wrong information, Sarge came back and said "You know giving false information is a class 1 felony right?  You WILL go to jail"  She straightened out.  From that false information stemmed 3 angry police officers and a mistaken stolen car report.

RECAP: 3 pissed off police officers, 3 involved cars, and a 14 year old.

About an hour later, some paper work is exchanged etc.  It all starts to unfold.  Her mom or dad's girlfriend shows up and goes ballistic and the girl finally breaks down, 3 cops, psh whatever, but family was what gave the knock out punch.  I didn't catch the first part of the conversation because I was inside and it was somewhat muffled.  When I did go out it was something like "How could you do this to me!?  I WORK 2 JOBS TO MAKE A LIVING!  YOU LEAVE MY KIDS AT HOME IN DANGER?"  The police interrupts asking if anyone is with the kids, she says her sister is.  The anger continues, "YOU SELFISH *****, THIS IS NOT HOW WE RAISED YOU! OH MY GOD HOW AM I GOING TO PAY FOR THIS?  DO YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS?  GET OUT OF MY FACE I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT YOU!"  She makes a call, "They are towing my ****ing car!  What the hell is happening?"  The dad says something to her, I couldn't make it out.  The woman asks if her car will be impounded in which she gets a resounding yes from the officer.  The woman walks off and starts  crying and sits on MY car.  She made quite the scene and I don't remember half of what happened because we were talking amongst ourselves (my stepdad, my sister, our neighbor, and I).  The girl was lucky there were still 2 officers there or else she had her stuff beat.

Oh the first police officer on the scene was getting ready to pull the girl over for not having her headlights on as well, which is why I think the girl crashed, she got flustered.

They just finished towing the car when I started writing this at 11.  It was rreally quite a show.  Not something i should laugh about but man.  Some serious crap.  I'm so frickin' glad i'm not that girl tonight.  She would have been better off going to juvenile hall rather then going home tonight.  None of the cars were totaled, by far.  A little cosmetic damage to the car that caused the accident, bumper bent in to the wheel well and the headlights kind of screwed up.  My neighbors mazda got it worst, smacked from behind, minor bumper damage, and crushed into his towtruck, some minor front end damage, and the towtruck.....well those thinngs are built like tanks.

Just thought i'd share a story with you guys.

When I was a kid, my dad and I drove past an accident scene.  My dad asked me suddenly to look in another direction.  When I was older, he described what he had seen.

It turns out, two grandparents and their granddaughter (like 8yo or something) were walking along in the park.  A 13-14 year old girl out joyriding ran up the curb and hit them at speed, killing them.  It had just happened, and the three bodies were laid out on the ground when we drove past.  My dad described how we were in the eye-line of one of the bodies which had eyes open.  The joyrider was fine.

I am not sympathatic to the girl you describe tonight.  It could have been much worse, and HAS been before.

I got pulled over by Folly Beach's finest when I was 14. Mom was out on the town, left her keys out, add a bored 14 y/o with too much time on his hands and you wind up with a pissed off dad woken up at 2am to pick his car stealin son up. They had been separated about 2 years then, the only thing that saved me was his girlfriend. I never liked her before that, but she was my best friend the next day :D

Oh, got pulled over for going 10mph under the speed limit. I had the cruise set and my feet up on the dash.

Did you have to wait a few years to get your license Laz, 18 or 21?  This girl will have to be AT LEAST 21 before she qualifies for a license.

Oh and the offenses that I heard were: Careless driving, Driving without a license, Driving without license plates, driving without headlights and almost certainly wreckless driving.

The woman was concerned about being sued, my neighbor is willing to repo anything they have (yes he's a repo man, towtruck ;) )  And it could have been much worse, she could have killed her dog in the passenger seat.  The girls excuse: I was taking the dog for a walk.  Walking the dog in the car, gotta love it:aok

naw, I didn't really commit any infractions other than driving without a liscense. I guess my mom coulda pressed charges for stealing her car if she wanted to, but I'm not even sure she coulda done that since I lived with her. They didn't charge me with anything, they just took me and my friend in and called my old man, that was bad enough. Got my permit the next year, got the real thing at 16.

That might be and understatement, I was turning right yesterday and some weiner decided to change lanes in the middle of the intersection then he honked at me.  Should I have waited?  Maybe.  Should you change lanes in the middle of an intersection? Never.

Nirvana,

That girl didn't drive "wrecklessly", she had a wreck while she was driving recklessly. One can't be wreckless if one has had a wreck. :p
