Bad variance + notbooks: a fix
« on: November 20, 2005, 03:52:24 PM »
Noticed what seemed likie really bad lag on my notebook, but it was the variance going nuts. Did a bbs search and read where skuzmeister said a horrible variance is the cpu clock being nutty, or something eating cpu cycles.

Went into the BIOS and disabled the cpu power saving scheme, it usually runs in the 700mhz range... then darts to 2.2 if needed.

AH runs perfect now, no variance issues
