Thats because TIR move based on the image on the screen.  Since when using the TIR you dont actually turn your head 180° it doesnt make sence to your body to flip the movement as if you were really looking backward....that would feel stupid.  With the TIR if you look backwards over your left shoulder...and want to LEAN TOWARDS THE GLASS of the cockpit....you lean to the RIGHT because in real life you would be leaning to your right as far as your head is concerned (since it is now backwards relative to your body).  AKA You move TOWARDS YOUR RIGHT CHEEK ON YOUR FACE.....now since in the TIR world your head is still looking forwards, your right cheek is still on your actual right.

Eh? So?

While the relative mode is ENABLED I look back and want to look past the seat armour on the right side. I lean RIGHT and my view moves to LEFT.

IIRC this was implemented later on after the TIR support was implemented according to requests from players but it doesn't make sense to me. The rear view reverse should be switchable. If it wasn't buggy I'd fly with the relative mode on all the time.

IMHO even despite that "bug" AH has the best TIR support compared to any other game.
