LDRS XX (19.-22. July 2001) in Lucerne Dry Lake Bed California.

Although the US team has failed to deliver (booo), so the Saturn V rocket will net launch, the european team has joined the race with their 1:13 scale "Ariane 4"

Enthusiast? You bet, both Gloria and myself are with the ISU expedition to the Ariane 5 launch next september in French Guyana.  :)
