Awww, Mongo straight!

No Nils, I was looking for a new set to play AH. My $2 eBay specials finally bit the dust. I bought a Plantronics "open air" headset with noise cancelling mic for $15, but I'm looking for a more professional grade set. I tend to wear them out rather quickly and want a set that will last a few years.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Well since this has gone a little off topic, why the hell won't my mic get any louder unless it's just about inside my mouth?  I got a new sound card few monthes back and that's when it started sucking the grass, mainly because the card won't let me choose mic boost.  It'slisted as  CMI8738/C3DX PCI , I can't remember the actual name.  I got it for my 5.1 sourround sound set but now the MFer screwed up my mic.  Any ideas?  Driver updates?
