This chopper pilot has been flying in the Mid-Missouri area for the last month or two. The chainsaw is used to cut back tree limbs near high-power lines in the Mark Twain National Forest. It's powered by a Rotex engine and is some sight to see in operation.

Different View

No joke. This guy trims trees for the power company in remote forest areas. The saw hangs on a long tether and cuts the interfering branches near the high powerlines.

I saw the last 007 movie.  And since I know they are 100% feasible.. that saw can cut through virtually anything including a BMW M8, an entire building and a pier.

Chainsaws hanging in helo like that are widely used at least in Sweden and Finland.
One version is what you can see in pic wich is used as a pruningsaw to cut down trees sticks because in winters if its raining "Wet-snow" they may fall down on lines. Other version is made with horizontal blades for cutting tree-tops so when its stormy the falling trees could not hit powerlines.
Few years ago they were hanging around my summer house and it really was a sight

Yeh staga, I've seen um too. Quite cool

And reasonably common in Sweden.
