Please help pick a handle for my son
« on: January 17, 2001, 08:25:00 AM »
Okay, he flew WB's offline for the last 1.5 years, then, last week, I let him fly the F4U-1C in the TA, and without any help from dad (I helped on rudders taking off only, then, took my feet of the rudders once airborne)..he proceeded to shoot down 3 A/C within 5 mins. in 1 sortie.  He's 4 years old.  He'll be 5 years old the end of the month.  I promised him an account after this summer is out, around Sept. He's got a new computer with Aces High on it, and flying it every chance he gets offline.

Now, we need to come up with a good name for him.  His nickname in real life is either:
G-man or Gordo, both handles taken already in the game.

I open to suggestions.  My entry is 'RipShort', but when he's 6'4" tall one day, it won't apply, so, help me, suggestions?

Pick up any WW2 book, open the page, point to A/C on that page, he'll tell you what it is.

Incidently, I'm a very proud father if you cannot tell.

What does Mrs. Ripsnort say about him playing?

Anyway, how about Tronspir (Ripsnort backwards)

I asked my little girl who just turned 6 years old what handle she would choose if she could. She said either Charmander or Mewtwo, who I guess are heavy hitters in the Pokemon world...

Cheers

Hey, I just looked at Websters for a synonym of Ripsnorter in their thesaurus...it came back with a few, two of which were JimDandy & Dinger.  I've seen a lot of posts lately by JimDandy, and Dinger was the opposing Tank commander to Ripsnort in Afrika Corps.  Did Rip & Dinger ever meet face to face in any tank battle?  I smell a conspiracy!

Others were Corker, Crackerjack, Daisy, Dandy & Lulu.

Put my vote in for Lulu!

So in about 8 months this kid will be in school and for his first "show n tell" day he can hold up the Aces High Pilot Roster and say,
"I got 'em all, except for Sunchaser, that guy is good and those laser cannon on his B17 are uber!"

Cool.

How 'bout
"Grip"
"JEEMAN"
or
"HeyMomIgotCitabriabuthesaidIw aswarpinbad"

Oops, too many letters in that one.

"Minigunr"
"Gotcha"
"Dvestatr"
"Youngun"

How about a pic Rip?
