Yes, apparently it was before I said I couldn't get TV signal reception in Concord owing to the surrounding mountains...

If u wanna see San Fran from the air, I can get you an intro ride out of Hayward for $49.00. Wife and Kid might like it - includes gas and my time is free.

P.S. Its about an hour and change, which would normally run around $150. Plus u get the stick time.

I'd make sure you got a bird with a Garmin 1000, either 172, or Diamond DA-40.

PM me if you think its something yr interested in.

Link to planes photos page and other stuff

Toward the bottom, they start at IMG 58xx is the stuff. Has some cockpit shots of the area from the DA-40. Trip went from Half Moon bay down the coast to Santa Cruz and back up north.

Next time I am out in SF area on business I know who I am going to let know for a ride like that. Hell I might even take the wife along on that trip.

As for staying cheaper I usually stay down in South SF by the airport if I have a car when in the area. Its not that far to drive into town to go eat dinner at 1 Market or even to drive over to this little Italian place not far from the hotel I stay at there in South SF.
