Easy,
thanks for the tip with the file name.
The OLD editor still appears to be available from HTC site:

duh.. just checking.
Have you tried converting some new ac file (or even old byut renamed file) to the new OE?
Are you absolutely sure it appears in your OE shapes list with * after its name?

I tried replicating your installation, but still no go.

ok, thanks duh.

Can anyone else here see the shp files from userlib folder in the new Object Editor's Shapes list?

The list is the second list in top right corner.
The files from userlib folder are marked with * after the name.

Ta-Daa, I Said earlier in this post "I'm having no problems with the new OE." Maybe that's because im running Windows 2000 SP 4. Also, my shapes appear with a "*" to the right of it.:D

Mine are in:
C:\Program  Files\HTC\ah2edit\

 And what is "edotprs"?

As I said, I'm also not seeing custom shapes in the list, even if I convert a new AC3D model.

Now, I took my UserLib from the old editor and copied the full folder. Maybe I'll try deleting that from the new editor, convert the shape again (so IT creates the userlib folder) and copy the contents from the old one.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

The next thing to do... Contact HTC and tell them about the error. They will propably come out with another patch version fixing the "XP" problem within the month. How do I know this? Because when a new version of AHII was released a few months back. The H2H arena was messed up and generated a problem that disabled the opportunity for anybody to fly.

An H2H player notified HTC and they fixed the problem by the next day!:D

Incidentally, what ARE the changes from the last version? Other than the OE not reading custom shapes. ;)

Don't ask me, I don't use the CE. Too complicated for me to encode the cloud files into my maps. If there are any changes, it might be the resolution required to use the CE. Since used to it required a massive resolution Win XP couldnt use.:aok

Ok, it does happen to me too.I tried converting some completely new objects and it doesn't show "*" by it name, I mean it's not there at all.
You guys were right, it doesn't work.
This needs to be fixed!
