We spend a rediculous amount of money to countries that don't like us.

I'm going to hijack this thread. And it'll be for the better.

If someone could dig up the numbers of how much money is going to Muslim countries that hate us, it would help a lot. I've found some 1998 numbers.

Just by adding them up myself, I get the value of dollars to be 2.3 billion dollars.

So the real question is not "What are these countries going to do without this money?" The real question is, What are we going to do with this money.

So imagine we had 2.3 billion dollars to spend on something, ANYTHING. And you have control over what it would be. What would we spend the money on?

I'd spend the money hiring more mcdonalds dropouts to fondle airline passengers and take their nail clippers, because everyone knows that only eternal vigilance will keep nail clippers out of the hands of terrorists, and no measure is too strict if it keeps just one airline from being hijacked by someone with a nail clipper.

I'd also put Cheney on the payroll indefinately as long as he keeps shooting lawyers.
