HTC , have you ever thought of deducting perk point from people ingame for constant moderation issues?   Kinda like first time your muted is a warning , second time -50 perks and third time -100. Something like that . Might help stop people from constantly pushing the limits .( grabbing my flame retardant suit and hiding)   38

Hmmm this has potential. In my experience people only respond to a consequence that has a real detriment.
As it is now you get squelched for a short time . Big deal go afk get a drink and a snack bingo let the griefing commence again. Now with this proposal don't shut your potty mouth , whack fined .
Still don't care NP we up the fine . Also the person should be squelched this whole time gives them something to think about.

38ruk all I can say is brilliant.

Well even if you started taking away perks... does it really matter? They can just up another SpitXVI and be in a very, very capable airplane. Quite possibly the best all-around dogfighter in the arena imho.

How about limiting by ENY instead? Instead of -50 perks, you lose the La7 & SpitXVI. Instead of -100 perks, you lose ENY 15 & under. Keep verbally abusing people and eventually you're down to the Spit1 for the remainder of your punishment.

edit: Also solves the problems of what happens when the person doesn't have perks to remove. If I got drunk and for some reason found talking trash on 200 boosted my ego... what perks are you gonna take away? Most I've ever had are 200 :)

perk deductions wont really work, some people have tens of thousands.

if it were to work, it would be fair to do it as a percentage of current perks.  i.e. 25%.

Interesting. I'm not entirely sure I'd vote for this, but I certainly think ENY limitations would be better. Not everyone has perks, and not everyone uses them and therefore have thousands banked.

I think Indy's suggestion is a good one. Not everyone wants to fly a tempest or jet, but almost no one wants to be tooling around in a spit1, 202, or a6m2 all night.

also some have no perks.

what do you take from them?

if i wanted to be an jerk all night, and had no perks, there would be no deterrant.

Great, that would mean i can smacktalk all day.... a long way down till my HMk1 gets eny-limited....

Im all for that idea. ENY will probably work better then perk reduction. That or a additional ranking value, that increases thus lowering your rank every time you get muted.

I agree with the "ENY" type of deterant.

First = warning
Second = limited plane set avail
Third = No vox, No text & your choice of B5N or LVT4

I do like the eny limiter , i was thinking that just deduction perk points would be easier to do that to limit ENY value for certian people, that might require more work for HTC. I do see the point about people not having perks thou ,  i think eny would be the best punishment .  Id like to see hitech chime in to see how much work this would entail .   38

Shouldn't be hard to add actually. Add a flag to somebody's account. There's already mute flags, so an ENY flag is just another variable. On takeoff (If mouthy_players_eny > selected_aircraft) popup_window ('No '.selected_aircraft.' for you!! Learn to play nicer!');

Add 1 more variable to timestamp it so it'll remove itself after the punishment period, and you're good to go.
