The J2M3 is very similar to the A-5, close enough anyway.

I think it's a poor fit, but then again, so is the Brewster/FM2 lol

The J2M, and Ki44, were both interceptors along the lines of the FW-190.
The focus was on speed and firepower not manuverability.

J2M3

Mfg: Mitsubishi
Year: 1943
engine: 14 cyl 1800 hp
top Speed: 363 mph @ 18k
armament 4 x 20mm

pretty much an N1K2

it would be nice to see it just the same.

Ki44-IIb

Mfg: Kawasaki
Year: 1943
eng: 14 cyl 1520 hp
top speed: 376 @ 17k
Armament: 4 x 12.7mm MGs

later variants were armed with 2x20mm and 2x12.7 MGs as in the Ki84

as the specs sheet tells us they really aren't all that fast.  The Ki84 is a superior design.

lets sub the 109s and the 190s just the same.  :D

Hi Shifty,

Hm. The Ki-44 weighed only about as much as an Emil, but had 1600 HP. It was not very fast, but climbed like a rocket, and you can be pretty sure that it was decidedly more manoeuvrable than the Focke-Wulf.
