I don't think there are any dedicated LW squads anymore. I could be wrong though.

Also... I'm not sure you'll be able to do a rumble as easily as you could 5 years ago. 4-5 Years ago, the entire community had one idea (or at least 2 very similar ideas) of what "The Best" meant.

"The Best" now means rarely dying, not being particularly dangerous to "bounce".

Plus I think the community is bigger and less close than it was back then, so different people are going to have lists of "the best" that other people are going to go "who the hell are those people?"

well urch, the "best" to the guys who've been around for a long time is still whoever's the best at fighting, not staying alive and cherry picking (I'll give pacerr the nod for that one, lol). I think most of the newer guys don't really see who the better sticks are... they see numbers on the score page, and sorties landed in the text buffer, and from that decide who they think is the "best".

They could just show up for KOTH's... plenty of hte lesser-known good sticks fly those.

KOTH is still about the picking. Others watch while a pair duel it out and come down and pick one of them then go down for the other.

That does happen, but good fights 1v1 happen every round.

I know what Skernsk and DD are up to. (I'm going to be helping) Thing is the best "sticks" in this game, are probably not going to be the best CO's. I can think of several in AH that I would consider to be some of the best ACM Pilots" I would not pick any of them to be CO's, nor do I think they would be CO's.

And we pride our selves on being worse then KillnU which is a lot of work when you think about it. But then again when it comes to getting shot down in a 38G there are few who are my equal
