Damage

Okay I know this question has been discussed before but just hear me out...I believe that damaged aircraft should have some sort of way of getting repaired without towering out...

If a 30 ton GV can go out and get every single damageable item damaged, plus flip over, while surrounded by sometimes 30+ enemy GV's, and magically repair itself from a small wooden crate filled with vehicle supplies then I think that the aircraft also need a way to be repaired?  The vehicle thing obviously isnt realistic, but we could make the aircraft repair realistic...1, 2, up to 5 minutes for repairs when landed sucessfully at the airfeld and pulled into the indestructable hanger, or whatever we label as repair center...OR the aircraft could be written off and beyond repair...This is a flight simulator the last time I checked, and I dont know how vehicle damage somehow happened to get priority over AC damage...If a Tiger can fix a busted engine and turret by the simple click of a button (load supplies), then a typhie for example should surely be able to get that one gun that was knocked out on his last sortie repaired so the PILE-IT can keep his same bird....

If you have to land anyway, why not just tower out while you're at it and save time?
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Because I like to get as many kills possible per death...If I am sitting on five, six kills and manage to bring a broken airplane back to the field, id prefer to have my plane fixed and try and come back the second time with double the kills in that aircraft

In other words, it doesn't add anything to the game except for a little more adulation of the masses. If repairs served a PURPOSE, like, you only have a limited number of a given type of aircraft so you'd BETTER fix it, maybe.

I think a better "balancing" option would be to do away with repairs for GVs, and just have vehicle supplies replenish ammo.
