Now that we've got the Macchi C.205V you want us back to biplane fighters, acting as baits for your mighty 109G-10? Nhaaaaaa ..... BTW, Saintaw do you know the meaning of this tipical italian gesture?

"And one of the finest aircraft I ever flew was the Macchi C.205. Oh, beautiful. And here you had the perfect combination of italian styling and german engineering .... it really was a delight to fly ... and we did tests on it and were most impressed." - Captain Eric Brown

LOL   (spitting coffee all over the keyboard) ... Close your eyes, imagine a crippled SM79 Torpedo-Bomber coming back from Malta, chased by 6-8 Spitfire Vb led by an angry Buzz Beurling .... Ok, now you have the picture

This is a reduced original wartime postcard. It was posted in our NG by our WB mate (and historian) Ferdinando D'Amico.

Theres an aviation bookshop here in Milan with many reprinted original WWII postcard with fighters, bombers and so on. Some are very nice (and ironical), like the one you see. Next time, I'll check at the bookshop for something interesting for you.
