Guys from San Jose, CA (Mietla and any others),  need your advise.

The problem can sound strange for you.

One of my Moscow friends now works there. He have brought his pregnant wife with him. She is an extremely nice female, she even can speak English somehow - but she feels very bored sitting at home and doing nothing, waiting for a weekend, when her husband will take her out.

Can you suggest any good social occupation and/or company that can be safe for a pregnant woman? They are going back to Moscow in September, and Evangelina is probably on the 5th month now (I am not her husband, so I don't remember correctly  :))  She is very communcative and eager to talk in "normal conditions", and she definetly will appreciate any opportunity to practice her English.

If you'll suggest any place where Gregory, her husband, could leave her driving to work and pick her up on the way back home - it could be really great. Now she has to sit at home and watch "alien" TV or chat with Russian friends like me on ICQ...

Some other tips: she and her husband practiced "extreme" sports (certainly before she became pregnant) like alpinism, snowboarding and so on. Her husband, Gregory, is my friend for at least 12 years, and he is the most reliable person that I know. We studied together, and I was a good friend to his future wife before they married (Grisha, if you'll read this - you know that you simply shouldn't be jealous for a "razdolbay" like me  ;))

So, summing it up - I'll owe you if you'll post any suggestions or mail them to me. Tomorrow I'll ask Eva's  permission to post her ICQ UIN here, if anyone will be interested...

BTW, the Americans are by far the most friendly people you will ever find, trust me.

I am a naturalized US citizen now, but of course that means I was not born here. In my twenty years here I've seen it all, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Guess what, both, the bad and the ugly fade in the insignificant shadow when the good raises its face.

Heh, gotta admit that the Americans I've met have all been nice, easy going people.

Even the ugly Americans, once someone starts paying attention to them  :). Met a pair that were looking for directions but had BIIIG problems pronouncing the name of the place. In the end, me and about 5 others tried dechiphering their garbled message. Being the true genius I am, I asked them to write it down. Problem solved  :).

Mebbe I'll go to the US and meet those cowboys I've seen on TV. If the civil war is over. Do they have telephones in the US?  :)

Nope, it was just invented here.  Since Bell was Scottish by birth, he decided that the Americans didn't deserve his invention, so he only allowed it to be used in Europeans for the next 200 years.  We'll get telephones in about 70 more years.  You'll have to wait til then to talk to us on the phone!   ;)

Mietla, I said many times that I was in the US in 1989, and I know that Americans are nice and friendly people from my own personal experience  :)
