i'd definitely say he's a good player.

Best player i jammed with was this guy that used to tour with Steve Vai back in the early 90's.

A couple of friends are in prog rock bands, and they have some good licks. I'm more of an old school metal head myself, but they are very talented.

They sound EXACTLY the same live , which imo, is always the tough part.
Enjoy.

Very cool
who says Classic music cant be cool LOL

Reminds me of one of my sons friends.
He can play just about any peice of music you put in front of him.
Used to bush his chops challanging him.
"Yea, can you play this"
And low and behold he'd play it.
Might take him a few tried but he'd get it.

Finally stumped him with one.

"Flight of the bumble bee"

Worked on it for a month before he finally gave up
Death is no easy answer

The thing that grabs me is that it's all a multi-track recording with multiple guitars. It was okay, but I'd like to hear just the one guitar and see him play it, THEN see how he sounds. It's messy in places, but he is good.

Technical skill ( if he really does play that good) will never win out over creative and thoughtfull guitar playing, imo.

Some of the best guitar players I have known have all sounded stale and lifeless and ALL could not write a song worth a darn.

I could probably never play this, but I would never even want to.

I agree, you may be able to copy, but can you write a song yourself.

This one does,  but then again, he's the same player.

Has been posted a couple of times.  One of the replies was "I can't tell if he's playing or if it's the music".
