Pugg, the story isn't that frightening. The original animated film, made in early-70s, was about Cheburashka (creature with large ears), that was accidentaly delivered to USSR in a box of oranges. It works in a shop window to attract customers, until it meets Gena, the crocodile who works in a zoo, smokes pipe and plays the bayan (Russian harmonica). The third character, an aged female named Shapokliak, is a professional thief and has a pet rat called Larissa.
The most fascinationg scene is when Cheburashka and Gena help young pioneers to collect scrap metal, and Gena steals an ancor from a ship...
Sometimes I wonder if authors who write for children smoke something really serious...
