All you whingers whinging about having been trying to fix it for hours......I fixed mine using this little tip from FiLtH in 5 minutes flat and with very little swearing.

REALLY, Maybe you need to come and fix mine then.

Well, seems to be ok now.
Downloaded sidewinder game controller software 4, remapped yet again, had a wee fly, FF though no control, calibrate in game, bingo and away we go..

No, going out to the sidewinder software settings and then back into the game did nothing for me either. Patch 2 = no self-centering. It's funny - as soon as I quit AH my stick suddenly jumps back to center as if AH were now putting it to sleep. On second thought, it's not funny. Patch 3 anyone?

Hi all,

got a MS Sidewinder FF Pro with 15 pole connector (green light on back side). Unfortunately none of the hints helped for my stick. FF stays dead. Hope that HT can fix this problem.

boogs, I need some more information.  What version of the MS stick do you have?  What is the URL to the software you installed?  What operating system?

Just to be sure I understand.  Your force feedback is working now and did not work, until you installed the software from MS?

Skuzzy, I already had Sidewinder 4.0 software. As of this morning's update to patch 2 I have lost all forces in AH.

That is why I need more information from boogs.  Which stick do you have?  Red LED, Green LED?  USB?  Gameport?

These inconsistencies are bizarre.

Mines an FF2 with the red LED (part no. X08-58736) and......um.......ok, ya know I said it's fixed......well sorta.  Every time I run AH I have to alt-tab out and do the thing.  Seems the fix only lasts until I log out.

Patch 3 ??
« Reply #57 on: June 09, 2006, 12:05:09 PM »
When is there going to be a patch 3?, im sure your not getting days credited to your account while you wait for patch 3. Maybe HCT killed the stick, they should credit you the cost of new gear towards future billing.

Starting to sound and feel like the lastdays of AW now.
Been there, Done that. Not doing it agin. If no fly by FSO tonight. Be no assount by tommorow
