You must have just graduated a few years ago, Tarmac.  That's exactly what homecoming was like last year.  Can you imagine slow dancing to rap?

Yeah, graduated in 2000.  Crap-rap was cool then (never been a fan)... but I suppose it still is now too.

Gawd, makes me feel old to be *****ing about "kids these days and their damn music" :D

The music sucked. All the songs were cRap. Then thrown in there was our theme song. Then back to more cRap. Really hard to slow dance to people "singing" about capping their hos and their dads dont love them.

Food...sucked...but you dont go to prom for the food.

Pictures...stood in line for a hour and a half them.

But other then that it was alot of fun to be with friends.

Also, enlisting in the Amred Forces is a garunteed way to get asked to dance atleast every song by some girl. Thats not one of the reasons why I joined but it sure is nice.

20 years ago next week I was standing in line at Hoffheinze pavilion getting my HS diploma.  Seems like it was just the other day.

Enjoy it while you can.

One thing I HIGHLY recommend is, believe it or not, start a diary as soon as you can when you finish bootcamp.  It sounds corny, I know, but I wished I'd done that when I was active.  My dad told me to at the time but I thought it was a dumb idea.  I was wrong.

I dropped in to watch the coronation at my Daughters prom last week. The theme song was "Stairway to Heaven". That was also the theme at my wifes prom in 1973. I got a kick out of that.:lol
