you make money when it falls - then when it falls enough - then buy to cover.

takes about 5-10 mins to show up - if you're selling short - it wont go through untill theres an uptick in the price. That prevents folks from dumping stocks that are falling.

Isn't that the point of shorting - to dump stocks when they fall?

And what's the process in "buying to cover?"
